Our Stage 2 A/C Performance Upgrade Kit is the ideal solution if you are looking to replace your original engine compartment components with an upgraded rotary style compressor, and high performance parallel flow condenser.

 

INCLUDED: 

  • Rotary Compressor & Clutch Assembly
  • Compressor Mount Kit designed for stock Pontiac or Oldsmobile V8 engines with the compressor mounted on the right (passenger) side of the engine (non turbo)
  • Modern high performance "Parallel Flow" condenser that installs as stock.
  • Suction Hose (from evaporator/accumulator outlet to condenser inlet)
  • Discharge Hose (from compressor outlet to condenser inlet)
  • Front Liquid Line
  • Rear Liquid Line*
  • 134a Charge Port Adapter
  • O-ring/Oil Tube Kit

WHAT ENGINES DO THE COMPRESSOR BRACKETS FIT?

  • This kit is designed for use with the newer 134a refrigerant. Please CLICK HERE for information on converting R12 systems to 134a

  • Any stock Pontiac V8 301, 326, 350, 389, 400, 455 engine with compressor mounted on passenger side (right-hand) of the engine.

  • PLEASE MAKE SURE THE ENGINE FITS WITHIN THE GUIDELINES LISTED ABOVE.

    CAN I INSTALL THESE PARTS MYSELF?

  • The average hobbyist can install without difficulty. General rule of thumb is if you change your own parts, you can change these parts.

  • It is recommended, however, to have the system evacuated & charged by a professional. Hose Crimping instructions can be downloaded by CLICKING HERE.

  • Other than crimping one end of the hoses and charging the system, no other specialized tools or knowledge is required for installation of parts.

 

  • This kit is designed for use with the newer 134a refrigerant. It is important to make sure all components that are being reused (evaporator, condenser, liquid line/hoses, all valves) are either changed or flushed and clean of contamination before installation and charging of the system.
